The Boondocks is an animated tv show that will go down as one of the greatest of all time. The show follows ROBERT FREEMAN and his Grandchilden and many other side characters as they try to navigate life.

During its 9 years run on Cartoon Network, the show pretty much covered everything from white people saying racial slurs, Ni**a moments, R Kelly and lots more.

Well, I’m not a fan of Cartoon but if you’ve seen this show, you’ll know that the Boondocks really had no chill which is why people loved it but what nobody talks about are the hidden businesses and Money lessons in the show.

S01E14 titled “The Block is Hot” is a perfect example of this and I’ll be citing three money lessons from this episode.

#Lesson 1: Find Solution to People’s Problems

A scene in E14 shows a 10-year old girl named Jasmine who is a classmate of Huey (Huey is one of the Grandchildren of Robert Freeman). Jasmine was shown setting up a Lemonade stand. Although she is young, she understands a very important part in Business which is Finding Solution to People Problems.

Since it’s summer and the heat waves is affecting people which makes her Lemonade a quick seller.

#Lesson 2: Law of Value in Business

Casts from the Boondocks

The Law of value in Business states that Customers only buy products that benefits them.

Let’s take Apple for example, few years back, Apple launched their Gold plated smartwatch for $10k thinking it will be a hot cake in the tech market not realizing that most people that use smartwatches are Tech geeks who knows that that $10k can get them more smartwatches.

They wanted to act like the companies selling Luxury watches for $20k+ not knowing that their target consumer base is totally different which made the Gold plated Apple Watch a total failure.

#Lesson 3: Be careful Who You Do Business With

Trust me, One bad partnership can ruin your life just like Jasmine signed a deal with an Old man in exchange for a Pony but in the end, she ended up losing both the Pony and her Lemonade stand.

Before you sign any agreement, review the contract thoroughly or better still, let an experienced individual explain everything to you aren’t going to be a victim of your own circumstances.
